LIVE Talks is a series of free online workshops, delivered by experts on diversity and representation, accessibility, sustainability, and wellbeing. By disseminating these streams of expertise widely and openly, LIVE Talks aims to make the UK live music industry a more inclusive, welcoming place to work.
Building on an initial focus on anti-Racist practice and allyship through language in collaboration with Black Lives in Music, our programme has expanded to cover topics including addiction and recovery, Trans inclusion, ableism and accessibility, and misogyny and sexual harassment to name but a few.
Our workshops are designed to be safe spaces for anyone in the industry to develop their understanding of the way structural inequalities play out within the world of live music, without judgement, and without any knowledge being assumed. We welcome participation and discussion through an informal question and answer session following each presentation.
Our upcoming program will continue to encourage ethical and inclusive practice in workplaces. Meanwhile, check out our workshop archive below.
