This session will help equip companies and individuals in the sector to be more supportive and understanding of the impact of menstruation and menstrual health on individuals, whilst encouraging those who need help to be able to speak out without feeling it might be detrimental to them personally. This session is in collaboration with The Musicians Union and Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace.
Joined by guest panellists Estella Adeyeri and Lisa Higgins.
Estella Adeyeri is a musician and multi-instrumentalist. She plays bass guitar in the Black feminist punk band Big Joanie, alongside writing, recording and producing her own music under the name Ellaments. She is passionate about supporting members of marginalised communities to have access to music education and performance spaces.
Lisa Higgins is a DJ and menstrual health activist. She runs Red Rebel FM, the world's first period positive radio station supporting emerging women and non-binary DJs and producers while also raising awareness of PMDD and promoting pride in menstrual health.
